Heffel auction breaks new records in the Canadian art world

Several records were broken during the recent auction hosted by the Heffel Fine Art Auction House of South Granville, which saw three paintings sell for more than $1 million. A Lawren Harris painting of the Arctic, Bylot Island I, sold for $2.8 million, leading the way in this exceptional Heffel auction of Canadian art this past week. Overall the auction netted about $21.8 million, making it the second highest-grossing auction in Canadian history.
