I saw the Buddy Holly musical, “Buddy”, near where I live in suburban NY (production was at Westchester Broadway Theater in Elmsford and starred Pat McRoberts as Buddy). It’s a really fun show, and Pat was terrific in it—wish I could see your version at the Stanley, but I’m a long way from Vancouver. I’m letting you know that I’ve written the only full-length biography of Buddy Holly, mostly aimed at young people ages 10 up. I wrote the book because I wanted to make sure that Buddy and his magnificent music is known to current and future generations. He also makes a great role model for kids and teens. The book is available exclusively as a digital download for the Kindle e-reading device, or for the iPhone using the free Kindle app. It is called OH BOY! The Life and Music of Rock ‘n’ Roll Pioneer Buddy Holly, and you can see it at The URL for the ebook is:

My website is Please spread the word about my book OH BOY! to kids, teens, parents, grandparents, and families who come to see the Stanley’s show about Buddy.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, make sure you check out one of South Granville’s great restaurants before the evening performance.

And those parking meters – if you pay by phone you can purchase up to 4 hours. We are hoping that the city of Vancouver will have modifications in place to be able to pay for 3 hours by coin in time for opening night. There are several off street lots that always have space – the biggest one is under Chapters. The entrance is on 10th Avenue.

I have tickets to the opening performance. I can hardly wait. Hopefully someone will give me the elbow if I sing along too loudly. 🙂 Peggy Sue, Peggy Sue…
