David Gunawan New Chef de Cuisine of West on South Granville

Top Table Restaurant Group and West announce the promotion of David Gunawan to the position of Chef de Cuisine of West Restaurant, 2881 Granville Street. “David is a tremendous talent who will provide a fresh focus for West’s kitchen,” says Jack Evrensel, Top Table Proprietor. “His philosophy reflects the restaurant’s core values and our ongoing dedication in providing exemplary fine dining experiences.”

A rising star in Vancouver’s culinary scene, Gunawan perfected his skills in top restaurants in Chicago and Seattle, then making a calculated move to Vancouver, stating his desire is, “to be as close as possible to farmers and suppliers who care, who match my respect for ingredients. I find our culinary environment here deeply inspiring.”

David joins West’s award winning management team of Pastry Chef Rhonda Viani, Restaurant Director Brian Hopkins, Wine Director Owen Knowlton and Bar Manager David Wolowidnyk.
